The Life All Around us
We all do it -- no point in denying it. Well, I'm here to admit that I am an inveterate eavesdropper. The folks behind me in line, the people at the next table, that guy on his cell phone passing me on the street... Those snatches of conversation that float my way are often intriguing, delicious, irresistable.
I've long thought that there was a book in those snippets, somehow. But I've never figured out how to put it all together. Until I do, I can't just let them drift away unrecorded.

ha ha. I've been doing that for years. I mean, how often do you call your own number? It's one of those things that you know instinctively, unless you have to think about it.
Wait. That happens to me all the time. Especially when people ask me my name.
Maybe it's that 'Mom' thing...
Tom: I suppose, but seems like I used to remember... wait, what was I talking about?
