The Life All Around us
We all do it -- no point in denying it. Well, I'm here to admit that I am an inveterate eavesdropper. The folks behind me in line, the people at the next table, that guy on his cell phone passing me on the street... Those snatches of conversation that float my way are often intriguing, delicious, irresistable.
I've long thought that there was a book in those snippets, somehow. But I've never figured out how to put it all together. Until I do, I can't just let them drift away unrecorded.

Now that's sad ...
When they opened that casino, it meant huge money for every menber of the tribe, men, women and children. One only needed to prove they were members by blood. People came out of the woodwork claiming to be Mohegan Indians. Same thing with the Foxwoods Casino and the Mashantucket Pequot Tribe.
Apparently the DNA tests performed to prove tribal blood lines proved some other embarrassing things about paternity issues, etc. I guess that would be what they mean by "unintended consequences."
Sad times indeed.
Now that's an interesting behind-the-scenes story.
